Doki respects the rights of creators and of the people who write reviews. If you believe something on Doki — including content a server owner moved from another platform — infringes your copyright or uses your words without permission, tell us and we will act on it promptly.
1. Sending a copyright notice
Our designated agent for copyright notices is Serene Technologies Pte. Ltd., reachable at [email protected]. Email us with the subject “Copyright notice” and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The content on Doki you want removed, with its link (for example doki.gg/<handle>).
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
2. What we do
We remove or disable the content promptly, tell the server owner, and send them a copy of the notice (we may leave out your contact details).
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed by mistake, send us a counter-notice with: your signature; the content removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where Serene may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We may restore the content 10 to 14 business days later unless that person tells us they have filed a court action.
4. Repeat infringers
We close the accounts and servers of people who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
5. Profiles moved from other platforms
Server owners can move their own profile from another platform, such as ePal, to Doki. Doki is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ePal or any other platform; their names appear only to say where content came from. The server owner confirms that the account and its content are their own and is responsible for them.
Ratings and reviews from another platform are labelled with their source and never count towards Doki's own ratings. If you wrote one of those reviews, or you run the platform it came from, and want it taken down, email us the link and we will remove it.
6. Other complaints
For impersonation, a server someone else moved from your account, or anything else, email [email protected] with the link and what happened. Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make the sender liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
