DokiPrivacy Policy

This policy explains what Doki (doki.gg and the Doki apps), operated by Serene Technologies Pte. Ltd., collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account: your nickname and @handle; if you sign in with Google or Apple, the email and name they share.
- Profile photo (optional): only if you choose to upload one from your camera or photo library. We never access your camera or photos without your action.
- Microphone: used only while you are in a voice room, to send your voice live to the people in that room.
- Voice in word-guess games: short audio may be transcribed by OpenAI to run the game; we do not keep it after the round. Voice rooms are otherwise not recorded.
- Game activity: rounds, chat messages and Gems purchases.
- Shop content (creators): tagline, about, availability, services and prices. These are public on your shop page.
- Payment links (creators): shown only to customers who join your queue.
- Queue activity: which shops you queued at, the service, your note and the times.
- Device and usage: IP address, device and app version, browser and pages requested (server logs), and product analytics in the web app (PostHog).
How we use it
- To run voice rooms, games, shops and queues.
- To process Gems purchases through Apple and Google.
- To review shops, handle reports and prevent abuse and fraud.
- To fix problems and improve Doki using aggregated usage data.
Who we share it with
- Anyone who visits your shop page sees its public content.
- Customers in your queue see your payment links; you see the nickname and note of customers in your queue.
- Service providers that run Doki for us: LiveKit (live voice), OpenAI (word-game transcription), Apple and Google (sign-in and purchases), PostHog (analytics), and our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services).
- Some page images load from Unsplash, which receives your IP address.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
- We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and shop data are kept while your account exists. Game activity is kept for up to 90 days. Server logs are kept for about 14 days. Queue history is kept for service history and safety.
When you delete your account, your profile is anonymised; your shop's text, services and payment links are wiped; your open queue entries are cancelled; your notes are removed; and your follows are deleted.
Your choices and rights
Delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account, or email us. You can ask to access or correct your data at the same address. If you live in the EU/EEA, the UK or California you may have further rights, such as portability and objection.
Children
Doki is for adults only and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes are announced in the app.
